DESCRIPTION
A Planter's Chair with a unique combination of black and natural polish. The combination gives it a great balance and truly makes it a work of art. The diamond weave caning ensures a comfortable surface to lounge on in a verandah or a special indoor corner. The Chair has hand turned front legs, hand woven cane and solid arm panels that can swing outward to double as footrests.

HISTORICAL CONTEXT
The Europeans brought the Planter Chair to India in the 17th century. While the Planter's Chair has a strong Caribbean history, it was also a very common fixture of house verandahs and railway platforms in India till the 19th century.
